Implicit molecular stresses in weakly compressible particle-based discretization methods for fluid flow

چکیده

Methods such as weakly-compressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics are frequently used in fluid dynamics, but they known to struggle with the direct numerical simulation of vortices and turbulence at finite resolution. By making a connection nonequilibrium molecular authors identify tensor quantity that may help understand remedy these problems.

An Alternating Direction Implicit Method for Modeling of Fluid Flow

This research includes of the numerical modeling of fluids in two-dimensional cavity. The cavity flow is an important theoretical problem. In this research, modeling was carried out based on an alternating direction implicit via Vorticity-Stream function formulation. It evaluates different Reynolds numbers and grid sizes. Therefore, for the flow field analysis and prove of the ability of the sc...

Finite-scale equations for compressible fluid flow.

Finite-scale equations (FSE) describe the evolution of finite volumes of fluid over time. We discuss the FSE for a one-dimensional compressible fluid, whose every point is governed by the Navier-Stokes equations. The FSE contain new momentum and internal energy transport terms. These are similar to terms added in numerical simulation for high-speed flows (e.g. artificial viscosity) and for turb...

Particle Based Fluid Simulation for 3D Scene with Implicit Surfaces

The shape modeling technique based on the implicit surface representation is used for generating threedimensional surface models that interpolate given sets of scattered points. A number of techniques for generating interpolating surfaces have been proposed and significant progress has been made in the last decade [1]. In addition, the implicit surface representation is also useful for interact...

High-Order Implicit Time Integration for Unsteady Compressible Fluid Flow Simulation

This paper presents an overview of high-order implicit time integration methods and their associated properties with a specific focus on their application to computational fluid dynamics. A framework is constructed for the development and optimization of general implicit time integration methods, specifically including linear multistep, Runge-Kutta, and multistep Runge-Kutta methods. The analys...

Edge-based Meshless Methods for Compressible Flow Simulations

This work concerns the development of a highly accurate and efficient meshless flow solver for inviscid flow in two dimensions. Novel aspects of this work include the application of mesh-based reconstruction, diffusion, and convergence acceleration schemes within an edge-based meshless framework. Most notably, “multicloud,” a meshless counterpart to multigrid, has been implemented. Multicloud d...
